Kathleen McCormick was born in Buffalo, New York on April
4, 1953. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science
from the University of Denver in 1975. Ms. McCormick is a member
of Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. In 1980 she received a Juris Doctor
degree, cum laude, from the University of San Diego School of Law.
Ms. McCormick began her career with the San Diego City Attorney’s
office in 1981 as a prosecutor. She tried numerous criminal matters
during her tenure, and served as the supervising attorney for the
criminal division. In 1984 she joined the firm and in 1989 became
a partner. She is admitted to practice before all the courts of
the State of California, and all of the United States District Courts
in California, and the United
States Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit.
